HRMI Executive Director Henrikas Mickevičius commented on recent police actions in a Roman settlement on Lithuania Radio 1, Russian and Polish programs.

HRMI Executive Director Henrikas Mickevicius participated in an international symposium arranged within the framework of New Tactics in Human Rights project, consolidating different human rights organizations of the world.

Recent events have demonstrated that insufficient attention to human rights can negatively affect political and legal process and undermine public credibility of state institutions, said HRMI in a relase today.

IN presenting HRMI research to an international conference in Klaipeda, Research Director Rokas Uscila raised the issue of a clear neglect of duty by police officers who fail to inform victims of their rights.
