The Human Rights Monitoring Institute hosts a discussion on the situation of human rights in Lithuania on 17 May 2005, at 9:30 a.m., in the Conference Room of Open Society Fund (Didžioji str. 5).
The event is based on principle findings of a HRMI overview for 2004. Among the main issues for discussion are right to political participation, right to respect for private life, right to fair trial, discrimination and other forms of intolerance, and rights of vulnerable social groups such as children. Participants will include members of the diplomatic community, international organisations and business community.
