International Human Rights Law Summer Study dates: July 19-28, 2010
Overview: This is a two-week intensive program providing comprehensive exposure to International Human Rights Law. As a rapidly developing interdisciplinary field, International Human Rights Law is gaining importance in an increasingly globalized and ever more interconnected world.
The program features intensive classroom instruction with classes conducted by practitioners, professors, and experts in the fields of international and human rights law. Classroom instruction will be enhanced by experiential components such as workshops, field work and site visits.
The course offers participants extensive interaction with practicing professionals who will share their perspectives. The program is intended for law students, Human Rights activists, university teachers, lawyers, and representatives from all professions dealing with Human Rights Issues.

Dates and Travel: The course dates are July 18-28, 2010.
Language of Instruction: English
Undergraduate Credit: For students from North America, special arrangements have been made for 2 undergraduate university credits by a separate registration process for a transferable 2-credit elective course with the Elon Center for Public Affairs, Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. For students from Europe, credit will be given by European Humanities University for a 2-credit elective course based on European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits recognized throughout Europe.
Co-Organizers: The summer study initiative is co-organized by Bring Human Rights Home (NGO, USA), Elon University (USA), Human Rights Monitoring Institute (Lithuania), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), and European Humanities University (Lithuania-Belarus).
